A bathroom or kitchen renovation produces about one truckload of mixed debris. For a single-trip job a junk removal crew is often cheaper than a bin because there is no delivery, pickup or weekly rental and no bin sitting on a residential street.
Clean loads of one material, drywall alone or wood alone, are priced lower because they can go to a recycling stream. Mixed loads are priced by volume. Materials that may contain asbestos, common in Lethbridge homes built before 1990, need a licensed abatement contractor first and are not accepted.
